How will a modern mind see total surrender to Krishna?

In response to the posting of 'The Greatness of Gopis', Swami Nischala wrote the following:

really great state of being. but i wonder how the modern mind will see if at all such a thing happens in the present family situations.

A very relevant question indeed for all god-loving people. Again, we can find an answer for this issue, as we can find for all our questions, in Srimad Bhagavatam.

One who has fully dedicated his life in the service of the Lord has nothing to fear in any circumstance. Because he has fully surrendered himself unto the Lord, the Lord will protect him in all situations. This is confirmed as follows by Srila Prabhupada in his purport to Srimad Bhagavatam, 6th Canto, Chapter 3, Text 18 as follows:"Material danger is not meant for devotees. This is also confirmed in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. Padam padam yad vipadām na tesām: [SB 10.14.58] in this material world there are dangers at every step, but they are not meant for devotees who have fully surrendered unto the lotus feet of the Lord. The pure devotees of Lord Vishnu may rest assured of the Lord's protection, and as long as they are in this material world they should fully engage in devotional service by preaching the cult of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu and Lord Krishna, namely the Hare Krishna movement of Krishna consciousness."Therefore, in all circumstances, the Lord's devotee should go on peacefully, happily executing his service fully confident that his beloved Lord Sri Krishna will always fully protect him.

Radhika is the supreme worshippable person, non-different from Krishna

 

After worshipping Krishna, the worshippers of Krishna necessarily worship the gopis by the flowers and other items which have been offered to Krishna.

Bhagavatam Says:

Among all the gopis, howevr, Radhika is the best, because she is said to be supreme in the Puranas, Vedas and other texts.

In Padma Purana, Krishna says:

O Arjuna! In the three worlds, the earth, where Vrindavana town exists, is most fortunate. Only in that place do the gopis reside, and there my gopi named Radha resides.

Padma Purana further says:

Radhika is the supreme worshippable person, non-different from Krishna. She is the embodiment of all opulence and all beauty. She is the supreme enchanter.

devi krishmayi prokta radhika para-devata
sarva-lakshmi-mayi sarva-kantih sammohini para

The amsas of Radha are Lakshmi, Durga and others.

Padma Purana adds:

Just as Radha is dear to Krishna, her kunda is dear. Among all the gopis, she is the most beloved of Krishna.

சாப விமோசனம்

மெல்லிய இன்பமான தென்றல் முன்னிரவு. வானில் பூரணச்சந்திரன் பால் ஒளியை வாரி வழங்க அமைதியான அந்த வனத்தில் கிருஷ்ணன் புல்லாங்குழலின் தேனிசை தென்றலில் கலந்து கொண்டிருக்க ராதை அவனுடன் வெள்ளி நிறமாக ஓடிக் கொண்டிருந்த யமுனை நதிக் கரையில் நடந்து வந்தாள். இசை நின்றது. பேச்சு தொடர்ந்தது.
"இப்போது வந்தாரே அவர் யார்?"என்றாள்.
"எனக்கு உன் மீது கொஞ்சம் வருத்தம் ராதா?"
"ஏன், ஏன்" என்று திடுக்கிட்டு நின்றாள் ராதா
"அவர் எப்படிப்பட்ட ச்ரேஷ்டர் என்பது அறியாமல் நீ அவரைக் கண்டதும் கேலியாகச் சிரித்தது தவறு?”
“எனக்கு அவரை கேலி செய்ய எண்ணமில்லை அவர் உடல் வளைவு என்னை அறியாமல் சிரிக்க வைத்தது தவறு தான். யார் அவர்?”
“எனக்கு விருப்பமான அஷ்டாவக்ரர். அவர் கதை ஒரு சோகக் கதை.”
எனக்குச் சொல்லலாமா அதை”
“தாராளமாக. வாட்ட சாட்டமாக பெண்கள் மயங்கும் வடிவில் ஆணழகனாக ஒரு பிராமணர் கங்கைக் கரையில் வசித்து யாகங்கள் ஹோமங்கள் ஜப தபங்களோடு நாராயணனை வழிபட்டு வந்தார். அவர் மனைவி அவருக்கு நேர் மாறானவள். அவர் வாழ்க்கை வெறுத்துப் போய் வனங்களில் தவம் புரிந்தார். இனி பெண்களை ஏறெடுத்தும் பாரேன் என்று விரதம் பூண்டார். இந்திரனின் சபையிலிருந்து ரம்பை ஒருநாள் அந்த வனத்தில் வந்த போது, இந்த பிராமண முனியின் தேஜஸ், கம்பீரம், அழகு அவளைக் கவர்ந்தது . அவரை அணுகி வணங்கி “எனக்கு ஒரு எண்ணம் நிறைவேற அருள்வீர்களா” என வினவ, அவர் “என்னால் முடிந்தால் அப்படியே ஆகட்டும்” என்று சொல்ல,
“நான் உங்களை மணக்க விரும்புகிறேன்” என்றாள் ரம்பை.
“அது முடியாது”
“ஏன்?”
"நான் எந்த பெண்ணையும் நினைத்து கூடப் பார்ப்பதில்லை. இது என் விரதம்"
“என்னை ஏமாற்றம் அடையச் செய்த, எனக்கு கிடைக்காத உன் அழகிய உருவம் இன்று முதல் யாரும் அருவருக்கத் தக்க, எந்த பெண்ணும் வெறுத்து கேலி செய்யும்படியான உடலாகக் கடவது” என்று சாபமிட்டாள். எட்டு வித கோணலாக அவர் உடல் வளைந்தது. அவர் பெயரே மறந்து போய் அது முதல் அவர் அஷ்டாவக்ரர் (எட்டு கோணல் ஆசாமி) என்று எல்லோராலும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறார்."
"இதற்கு அவர் கடவுளிடம் முறையிடவில்லையா?".
"முறையிட்டாரே "
"எப்போது அவருக்கு கடவுள் கிருபை செய்வார்? அவர் உடல் மீண்டும் எப்போது பழைய நிலைக்குத் திரும்பும்"
"கண்ணன் சிரித்தான். கடவுள் கிருபை அவருக்கு கிடைத்ததே”
"எப்போது "
"சற்று நேரம் முன் அவர் இங்கு பேசிக்கொண்டிருந்த போது" என்றான் கண்ணன்.

The Greatness of Gopis .... (3)

It is not surprising that Uddhava desired the sweetness of the gopis' prema and begged to be born as a blade of grass sprinkled with the dust from their feet. The glory of the gopis' love is expressed by Uddhava's desire to have the intensity of their love by being a blade of grass.

Therefore, Uddhava says, as referred in the Tenth Canto of Srimad Bhagavatam, as follows:

The gopis of Vrindavana have given up the association of their husbands, sons and other family members, who are very difficult to give up, and they have forsaken the path of chastity to take shelter of the lotus feet of Mukunda, Krishna, which one should search for by Vedic knowledge. Oh, let me be fortunate enough to be one of the bushes, creepers or herbs in Vrindavana, because the gopis trample them and bless them with the dust of their lotus feet.

POETRY

Krishna, the Savior

 

 

Man's mind is overpowered by this material world

and threatened by worldly arts,

thus banishing devotion from his heart.

 

He is tantalized by cheap mysteries and physical

joys and allows these to corrupt his mind,

which is a gift from God.

 

Misunderstanding the purpose of this life,

his attitude to life and its ultimate goal is wrong

and thus he is worried about death.

 

He thinks it is for man to cross dark boundaries,

understand and improve this world (nature),

but his attempts are failures.

 

Bound in the coils of material nature,

man fails to realize that Krishna,

the Supersoul of Reality, is his only hope.

 

All along I was in illusion, but now I have held the

lotus feet of Krishna and thus will live and die in peace.

 

Inspired by the love for the Creator of this world

and the Giver of happiness,

I endeavour to chant the holy names of Krishna.

 

Nothing is impossible for Krishna and by His mercy,

I shall endeavor to be his servant - yet another change in my life!

 

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare!

Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare!

உங்கள் மகன்

இது நடந்தது ஸ்ரீவாஸ் என்ற பக்தர் வீட்டில். சைதன்யர் தனது சிஷ்யர்களோடு அந்த வீட்டில் கிருஷ்ண பஜன் நடத்திக் கொண்டு ஆனந்தமாக ஆட்டமும் பாட்டமுமாக கிருஷ்ணனோடு ஒன்றி இருந்தார். ஸ்ரீவாஸ் வீட்டில் வேலை செய்யும் பெண்மணி மெதுவாக அவரை அணுகி உள்ளே வருமாறு அழைத்தாள். ஸ்ரீவாசின் பிள்ளைக்கு காலரா. சற்று நேரத்தில் மரணம் நிச்சயம். அவர் மனைவி அழுகிறாள். "இது இறைவனின் முடிவு. ஒரே ஆறுதல் அவன் உயிர் பிரியும் நேரத்தில் நமது வீட்டில் சைதன்ய பிரபுவின் கிருஷ்ண கானம் நடைபெறுகிறது. அதை கேட்டு அவன் உயிர் பிரிய அவன் கொடுத்து வைத்தவன். அவ்வளவு தான்."

ஸ்ரீவாஸ் மீண்டும் கூடத்துக்கு வந்து சைதன்யர் பஜனையில் கலந்து கொண்டு ஆடி பாடலானார். சில மணி நேரங்களில் அந்த பையன் இறந்து விட்டான் அங்கிருந்த சிலருக்கு விஷயம் கசிந்து விட்டது. ஒவ்வொருவராக பஜனையை மெதுவாக நிறுத்த "ஏன் இன்று கிருஷ்ணனின் கானாம்ருதம் வழக்கம் போல் இல்லையே " என்று கௌரங்கர் பஜனையை நிறுத்தி மனதில் வருத்ததோடு கேட்கும் போது ஸ்ரீவாஸ் எதிரே நின்று கொண்டிருந்தார். ஒரு பக்தர் "இங்கே ஒரு துக்கமான நிகழ்வு நடந்தது" என்று சொல்ல சைதன்யர் "அப்படியா?" என்று ஸ்ரீவாசை கேட்டார். ஸ்ரீவாஸ் “கிருஷ்ண பரமாத்மாவின் பஜனாவளி நடக்கும் இடத்தில் எந்த சோகம் துக்கம் நெருங்கமுடியும் அதெல்லாம் ஒன்றுமில்லை" என்று சொன்னார்.

அருகில் நின்ற பக்தரோ “சுவாமி, ஸ்ரீவாசுடைய ஒரே மகன் ரெண்டு மணி நேரம் முன்பு மரணமடைந்து விட்டான்."

"என்ன, பையன் இறந்துவிட்டானா? ஹே கிருஷ்ணா மஹா ப்ரபோ" என்றவர் கண்ணில் தாரை தாரையாக கண்ணீர்.
"எங்கே அந்த பையனின் உடல்?"
"என் அருமை செல்வமே என்ன நடந்தது சொல்? என்று சைதன்யர் அந்த உடலை கேட்டார்.

"சுவாமி, நான் இந்த உடலை விட்டு மேன்மையான இடம் செல்ல உதவினீர்கள். பிரபு என் ஆத்மா தங்கள் சரணார விந்தங்களில் என்றும் நிலைத்திட அருளவேண்டும்" இதுவரை பேசிய அவன் ஆத்மா பரமானந்தத்தோடு உடலிலிருந்து விடைபெற்றது. ஸ்ரீவாஸ்- மாலினி தம்பதிகளை அணைத்துக் கொண்டு சைதன்யர், "எதற்கு வருத்தம் இதோ உங்கள் முன்னால் நான் நிற்கிறேனே உங்கள் மகனாக என்னை ஏற்று கொள்வீர்களா?" என்றார்.
