In the dark illusory night of bodily consciousness one cannot see things as they are, and thus one becomes more and more bewildered. As life progresses and the dreams of one's youth remain unfulfilled while simultaneously one gradually loses his health, it is natural for him to feel more and more dissatisfied and morose. This is the natural fate of one who remains engrossed in the bodily concept of the self.

But if one can become enlightened by the brilliant sun of Vedic wisdom realizing fully his transcendental spiritual nature, he will become naturally jolly and enthusiastic even in his old age up to the very point of death. And then upon leaving his body he will attain an eternal spiritual form which is full of knowledge and full of bliss and live forever in the wondrous spiritual sky in the association of the Supreme Personality of Godhead Lord Sri Krishna.
